We are pleased to welcome you all to the October edition our monthly updates. We had some exciting news in our previous post. The new&improved Projects page was sent to Early Access Program users. In-app Chat was enhanced with responses and email notifications. Company-wide days off were also implemented in the mobile application. We’ll be talking about: The Projects page.

New Projects page
All our users received the new Projects page in mid-October. The changes we made can be found here. These include a cleaner look overall, improved filtering options, grouping and collapsing lists, easier label changing, and the ability to sort by project’s progress. This will give you a complete overview of your projects’ completion percentages. You can hover over the progress bar to see the number of tasks that are open, completed, and total tasks. We’re working on filtering options for finished projects. In-app Chat: Updates
Our Chat now has more options after implementing reactions. You can now @mention individuals and entire teams in a conversation. The most exciting feature we are presenting this month is the ability to create tasks from chat messages! You can choose as many or as few messages you want and turn them into tasks. These messages will become the body for the task. Any files or photos will be made into attachments. These new features are available via webhooks. We hope you find them useful.
We have been updating webhooks’ handling, as some customers use webhooks for connecting ActiveCollab to their internal tools. Webhooks are the way ActiveCollab notifies other systems about important events. ActiveCollab can tell Zapier, for example, to create a task and then send webhook payloads to it. Sometimes, however, these endpoints can be disabled, deleted, broken, or slowed. If we want the delivery system to work smoothly, it must be very defensive. ActiveCollab now offers two main defensive measures: Delivery priority reduction and webhook disable if the webhook isn’t working for a prolonged time.
Our October uptime was 99.87%. This is because we had a brief outage due network issues. Keep checking back for more information.
All fronts will be improved. The Projects page will be further refined, and the in-app chat and mobile app will have more options. We welcome your feedback and we will keep you updated!
