pmStudent.com Reaches Half a Million Users

Today’s weekend post is my way of saying thank you to all of my readers and reflecting on my little project at pmStudent.com. Please forgive my deviation from the usual topics.
In the Beginning
It was me and my blog. I wrote for fun, and for myself.
It was amazing how quickly people found me in those early days. The conversations and relationships that I have made are priceless to me.
I Still Write For Fun, But…
I have been greatly influenced by the many people who have reached out to my over the years with questions and shared their struggles.
In the past few years, my New Year’s resolutions included trying to help twice the number of people than I did the previous year.
It was at that moment that I began writing about topics that would help new and aspiring project managers.

Visitors over Time
These stats are a good proxy for my goal of doubling my visits, even though they don’t necessarily correspond to my goal. I am very fortunate to have a growing readership as well as students in my training courses.

To estimate the 2011 visitor count, I used August statistics. If the same growth rate is used, I expect to have more than 450,000 visitors in 2012. This would increase my total visits to more than a million.
